The new outbreak of Swine Flu is causing wide spread panic and is creating a massive increase in enquiries for thermal imaging cameras.
Unfortunately there are so many unscrupulous people around who, as during the SARS outbreak, will sell anything to make a quick buck.
The low end thermal imaging cameras are not suitable for medical applications and are designed for electrical/mechanical maintenance applications where a few degrees either way is not important.
Potential buyers should exercise caution when choosing a camera and must make sure the resolution is good enough for the task.
Potential sellers should be careful not to sell to the many enquirers wanting to pay by credit card...invariably the card turns out to be stolen!
If you want to know which cameras are suitable...ask!

Selecting an Infrared Thermometer or Thermal Imaging Camera
With so many choices of Infrared Thermometers and Thermal Imaging Cameras available from so many companies, it is no wonder it is difficult to decide which one to buy.
SOLUTION: Ask an expert!
If you have a query about non-contact temperature measurement, ASK ME!
You will receive a honest and technically correct answer.
With around 30 years in the business I will give you my recommendation based on real experience. You can then buy an instrument from one of my recommended suppliers or go to one of your choice....
